Shaq Lawson is every Southerner when the temperature hits 60 degrees. The former Clemson star was seen rocking quite the get up at Bills practice on Wednesday.

Lawson hilariously sported a heavy puffer jacket below his jersey as he hit the field for practice in Buffalo. Temperatures have fallen below freezing in upstate New York this week, and it’s apparently more than he can take.

And I can’t say I blame him. Being a fellow Palmetto State native, the feeling is 100% mutual.

Lawson’s look was made complete with the fur hood, team sweats, and a pair of gloves (on top of gloves) – made famous by one, Lloyd Christmas.

Fans on social media were quick to react to the outfit, posting their responses on social media.

One person wrote, “This is fantastic,” while another commented, “Everyone in LA this week. It’s 59 right now.”

Lawson’s not from Southern California, but he is from South Carolina where the weather’s warm and the humidity is high. Temperatures rarely fall below freezing, though he was close enough to the Appalachian Mountains to see a little snow.

At Clemson, the pass rusher helped the Tigers win 35 games and make a national title appearance. After racking up 20 sacks at his hometown university, he was taken in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

As a Bill, he’s continued that success by posting 19 sacks in five seasons. While he’s spent the majority of his career in Buffalo, it doesn’t look like he’ll ever get used to playing in those frigid conditions.

Shaq Lawson will have to suck it up this season as it looks like his team will be playing well into January, with an opportunity for home field advantage in the playoffs looming. I just hope he brings the jacket with him on Sundays as the temps continue to drop.
