Shedeur Sanders is waiting for his turn to move up the Browns’ depth chart. Last week, Sanders ruffled some feathers when he told the media that he’s ready to play and that he believes he’s better than some starting quarterbacks in the league.
“I’m ready to play right now.”
“I know if you see the quarterback play in the league right now, I know I’m capable of doing better than that,”
Over the weekend, Sanders went viral when he looked disappointed when Dillon Gabriel was inserted into the game to replace Joe Flacco.

Sanders received criticism from ESPN’s Rex Ryan for his behavior this week.
“This kid talks and he runs his mouth. Like he said, ‘I can be a starting quarterback’ with his arms crossed like this. Get your ass in the front row and study and do all that. If I know, the whole league knows. Quit being an embarrassment that way. You’ve got the talent to be the quarterback, you should be. You should be embarrassed that you’re not the quarterback now.”
On Wednesday, Flacco was benched by the Browns, and Dillon Gabriel was named the starter. Unfortunately for Shedeur, he remains the third-string QB of the team.
According to ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi, Shedeur’s performance in the preseason is the reason he remains the third-string quarterback.
