The unexpected resurgence of Carmelo Anthony continued Tuesday night when the former Nuggets, Knicks, Thunder and Rockets star dropped a team-high 28 points and the game-winning shot with 3.3 seconds left against the Raptors to give the Blazers their 16th win of the season.
After sitting out most of the 2018-2019 NBA season and not being signed when the 2019-2020 season began, Anthony has far exceeded expectations averaging 16.5 points and 6.0 rebounds while playing 31.9 minutes per game.
When he was signed by Portland, the 35-year-old Anthony was expected to only play around 20 minutes per game.
Following his game-winner versus the Raptors Tuesday night, sports troll extraordinaire Skip Bayless took to Twitter to imply that Anthony is the best 35-year-old player in the NBA.
“Carmelo Anthony, with a game-winner tonight, is making the case he’s the NBA’s best 35-year-old,” wrote Bayless.

Just one problem with that statement. Bayless’ archnemesis LeBron James, who is averaging 25.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 10.8 assists on a 30-7 Lakers team turned 35 on December 30th.
Not that most NBA fans noticed.
Just kidding. They destroyed Bayless for his latest inane take.

The scary thing is Skip isnβt joking even in the slightest. He hates LeBron so much that he will actually say this stuff with full confidence. Again, a reminder that this clown gets paid millions to talk about sports.

Skip. Have you thought about what youβre going to do in the future once Lebron is retired? You whole identity is hating on Lebron.
