New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was on his way to one of the most memorable runs of the 2020 NFL season Thursday night when he broke loose on a quarterback keeper to the right with 88 yards of wide open space in front of him.
Unfortunately, the run ended up being memorable, but not for the reason he would have hoped as he tripped and basically ended up tackling himself at the 8-yard-line.
Jones explained the reason for his fall, but Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes pretty much explained it best with his reaction on Twitter.
I mean i canβt even say anything cause i would never be able to run that far either ππππ

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman’s analysis of Jones’ run and fall was pretty good, especially when Aikman brought up “the old turf monster.”

It was nothing when compared to the radio call by Ian Eagle and the calls by the announcers on FOX Deportes and the Giants’ radio network.

I believe that’s Eagle’s broadcast partner five-time Pro Bowler Tony Boselli laughing in the background.

I have no idea what he said, but I certainly caught the “NO” there at the end.
And finally, the Giants’ radio call where the “turf monster” was actually uttered before Aikman got around to it.

The contagious laughter in all of those clips is exactly what I, and I think just about everyone else needed this morning.
