Zion Williamson is one of the most ferocious dunkers of a basketball the sport has ever seen. Since high school, he has been creating viral moments with his unique combo of speed, size, explosiveness, and strength. Friday night against the Phoenix Suns was more of the same. This time, though, it didn’t go over so well with the opponent.
Zion Williamson dunked with seconds to go, ticking off the Suns
With just seconds remaining in a Pelicans win, Williamson made one of the highlight plays of the season. But, his opponents were not happy about it.

First off, what a sick dunk. A large man should not be able to do that. He is truly a one-of-a-kind athlete.
But, I get it from the perspective of the Suns. There are unwritten rules about this stuff. The game is over. You don’t go do a dunk contest dunk.
He tried to explain it during his press conference.
"That was a little out of character for me. But you gotta understand … They sent my teammates home last year.”

This doesn’t fly with me, though. His beef is that the Suns beat him. As opposed to losing on purpose? Does not make any sense.
This will be settled on the court, though. The two teams play each other again on Sunday.
