Following the performance of Usher at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, rumors indicate that the NFL is going back down the pop star route for next year’s halftime show.
According to a rumor from ML Football — a popular NFL Twitter account that claims to be a credentialed journalist — Millenlian icon Miley Cyrus is the favorite to land the Super Bowl LIX halftime show gig.
The rumor from ML Football comes off the back of some gambling and sportsbook websites having Cyrus, 31 years old, as the betting favorite for the job.

Since 2010, the Super Bowl halftime performers have been as follows, beginning with 2010 and ending with 2024:
2010 – 2017: The Who, The Black Eyed Peas/Usher/Slash, Madonna/LMFAO/Nicki Minaj/M.I.A./Ceelo Green, Beyonce/Destiny’s Child, Bruno Mars/Red Hot Chili Peppers, Katy Perry/Lenny Kravitz/Missy Elliott (Remember the simpler times of “Left Shark”? Those really were the days, huh?), Coldplay/Beyonce/Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga
2018-2024: Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5/Travis Scott/Big Boi, Shakira/Jennifer Lopez/Bad Bunny/J Balvin, The Weeknd, Dr. Dre/Snoop Dogg/Eminem/Mary J. Blige/Kendrick Lamar/50 Cent, Rihanna, and Usher.
Super Bowl LIX will be played at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, the participants in last year’s Super Bowl, are the betting favorites to return to next season’s big game, as they each have future betting odds of +600 to win Super Bowl LIX.
Some of Cyrus’ best-known songs are “Wrecking Ball,” “Party in the U.S.A.,” “We Can’t Stop,” “The Climb,” and “Flowers,” the latter of which was released in 2023, further cementing Cyrus’ longevity as one of the great pop stars of her era.
