There are very few individuals in the sports world who find themselves as the subject of speculation quite as much as Aaron Rodgers. Whether it’s his future in the NFL, his health decisions, or whether he can be trusted to win in the playoffs, there seems to always be something to talk about involving Aaron Rodgers.
It’s a trend that doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
The Green Bay Packers are only 5 weeks into their current season and have worked their way to a 3-2 record, but the speculation about whether or not Rodgers will be their starting quarterback next season has already begun.
Today, a rumor began circulating that Aaron Rodgers has made it clear to people within the Packers organization that he plans to retire after this season.

Rodgers retiring after this season wouldn’t really shock many people. It has been a realistic possibility each of the last 2 offseasons and even seemed likely before the 2021 season.
However, recent comments from Rodgers have made it seem like his career continuing beyond this year is at least a possibility. He recently indicated that the development of the team’s young receivers could play a part in his decision-making process for his future.
Aaron Rodgers was asked today if emergence of Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson might make him want to play longer.
He mentioned a number of factors in his decision — physical, mental, personnel.
"Seeing the development of those guys can't help but be a part of the decision."
