Taylor Rogers didn’t have his best performance of the season on Wednesday when the Giants faced the Dodgers. The San Francisco pitcher came in to face just four batters, failed to record an out, and then was hit with the loss.
His reaction to the poor outing is what most remember from the night, though, as he had a hilarious response after being removed from the game.
Rogers entered the action in the top of the sixth inning with the score tied, 3-3. The lefty came in to face the bottom of the Dodgers order, but things quickly unraveled.
He walked the eight and nine hitters before having to square off against leadoff batter Mookie Betts. With two runners on, he then walked the bases loaded.
Things would get worse before they got better as he’d later walk Freddie Freeman in a frustrating 15-pitch at-bat.
That fourth consecutive base on balls allowed the Dodgers to take a lead, which they’d not relinquish in their 10-5 victory. Visibly upset with his performance, Taylor Rogers let those frustrations out after returning to the dugout.

The pitcher tossed his mitt in the trash can, an obvious reflection of how he felt about his outing.
Fans were quick to respond to Rogers’ reaction as they posted replies in the comments section.
One person wrote, “That ought to fix it,” while another said, “Don’t need a glove if you walk everyone.”
This fan hilariously asked, “Are we sure he was trying to throw it in the trash?” Rogers certainly missed his mark more often than not during the game.
Unfortunately for the pitcher, his stat line would continue to get worse even after his removal from the mound. The batter after Freddie Freeman plated a run with a sac fly before LA slugger Max Muncy hit a three-run bomb to blow the game wide open.
Taylor Rogers would be charged with three more runs, giving him a final line of 0 IP, 4 ER, 4 BB, and an L.
