Original Report:
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s NFL TV ratings took a bit of a dip this week.
According to TMZ, Sunday’s NFL game featuring Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets pulled in 20.31 million viewers.
That’s nothing to sneeze at, but it’s worth noting that it’s 4 million less than the previous Sunday’s Chiefs game against the Bears, which managed to reel in a whopping 24.32 million viewers.
Before we just to conclusions – last week, the game was on FOX, and this time, it was NBC. Different networks, different feel.
Plus, there’s a difference in the kickoff time – last week’s was at 4:25 PM ET, while this week’s late-night started at 8:20 PM ET.
The hype was real this week with Taylor coming to the game with stars like Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Sophie Turner, and Sabrina Carpenter.
Plus Taylor was around with her new BFF, Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick.
Travis was reportedly spotted leaving Taylor’s NYC apartment before the game, making the trip over to New Jersey for his game, according to TMZ.
However, they made separate exits from MetLife Stadium this time around, unlike last week when they cruised off together in his car.
Next Sunday, Travis and the Chiefs are on CBS against the Vikings. The big question is, will Taylor make it a hat-trick appearance, and how will that affect the final TV ratings?
