Fortunately, it’s a matter of when, not if, Tiger Woods will ever tee it up on the PGA Tour. Woods stated back in mid-February that he’s not all that close to a return, but that he will one day be back inside the ropes competing again.

With that being said, golf fans around the world want to know when Woods will return to competitive golf. His caddie, Joe LaCava, provided some new insight into Woods’ latest comeback efforts on Wednesday afternoon.

LaCava, just like his boss, isn’t one to sidestep things, he tells it like it is, and that’s exactly what he did during his appearance on PGA Tour Radio.

I mean, he’s gotta work his butt off every single day rehabbing and stuff like that in order to get back and be able to walk and be able to walk a golf course, then obviously try to play at that level,” LaCava explained, according to GOLF’s Dylan Dethier. “So I think he’s willing to give it one more hard go on, you know, the work that he’s gotta put into it.”

Tiger Woods’ Return Timeline Still Unknown

While LaCava didn’t offer up any sort of date or timeframe of when we may see Woods again, his statement of “he’s willing to give it one more hard go” carries some weight. LaCava is clearly under the assumption Woods is doing all he can to get back as soon as possible.

Having said that, LaCava got honest about just how big of a challenge this is going to be for Woods.

“I think it’s gonna be even more work than it was coming back from the fusion surgery with the back and stuff like that, but I think he’s willing, at this age, to do it,” LaCava stated.

Woods suffered a number of severe injuries in a single-car crash in February of 2021. He recently admitted that he thought he might lose his right leg as a result of the crash and multiple surgeries.
