Its no secret Tiger Woods is one of the most competitive people on the planet–Will Smith said as much last night. The dude played with a broken leg and a torn ACL at the 2008 US Open. And won. He loved the military so he reportedly tried to join the Navy SEALS. His ex, Lindsey Vonn, said he would never let her win at ping pong or tennis.
Now, a new story of Tiger’s relentless competitiveness has come to light courtesy of Woods’ caddie, Joe LaCava. LaCava appeared on SXM PGA Tour Radio on Wednesday night and shared a story about how a game of H.O.R.S.E. nearly ruined their relationship.

“Then I get him on the baseline from 10-12 feet, and I beat him nine games in a row, this is a true story, nine games in a row. He did not talk to me the rest of the day,” LaCava said. “I didn’t even get the old text, ‘Dinner is ready,’ because I stay across at the beach house. I didn’t even get that text that night so I had to get take-out.”
“He’s so competitive, even with something like that,” LaCava said.
In Woods’ long-awaited return to golf, Woods shot a 3-under-par 69, made five birdies, hit 11 greens in regulation, and seven of 13 fairways. He looked, by all standards, like 25-year-old Tiger. Not bad for a guy who hasn’t played competitive golf in ten months.
