The food situation at the Olympic Village has been criticized time and again this summer as athletes compete in Paris. Unseasoned meals and a shortage of staple items have been at the root of the issues.
Have no fear! One Team Australia star has filled competitors in on where to find the best snacks outside of the main dining hall.
Tilly Kearns took to TikTok to inform her followers about where she’s been refueling during the Olympic Games.
“I come to this building,” the water polo star said. “We have all these snacks from back home. Literally so much of it… Vitawheats, corn thins, canned rice and tuna, baked beans. They’re getting in meat pies today.
“Here are the juice poppers. Yogurts and whatnot. Cereals. And poke bowls… The dining hall at the Olympic Village isn’t the greatest, but Team Australia is really lucky because we have options.”

Tilly Kearns calls the Australian snack shop the best food option outside the dining hall. She could be biased!
Calls for improvement in the kitchen have been loud. The food situation was “a disaster” soon after the start of the Games due to shortages, and the meals that have been provided are being described as bland.
Simone Biles attempted to explain why the cuisine wasn’t up to par, noting an emphasis on health, which has forced athletes to “get creative” with meal prep.
Team Australia is a perfect 4-0 in women’s water polo play, besting China, The Netherlands, Canada, and Hungary. Now in the quarterfinals, they’ll take on Greece Tuesday.
Kearns hopes her stay in the Olympic Village lasts at least a few more days. If so, you’ll know where you can find her outside of competition!
