ESPN’s Todd McShay is taking some time off from ESPN.
Over the weekend, McShay made a brief appearance during Saturday’s UM-Alabama that drew concerns from fans who were worried about his well-being.
I am going to take some time away to focus on my health and my family. Thank you ESPN for being so supportive and for all the well wishes – I can’t wait to be back on the sidelines soon.

On Tuesday McShay announced he was stepping away from ESPN to focus on his health and family.

This isn’t the first health-related issue McShay has dealt with. Back in March 2020, McShay contracted Covid-19 which forced him to miss the NFL draft, and months later he exited a college football broadcast between Wisconsin and Northwestern because he felt ill. It’s currently unclear what McShay is dealing with but hopefully, he gets the help he needs during his time away from TV.
