Old Tom Brady Comment About Refs’ Blown Call Goes Viral After Patrick Mahomes’ Tantrum

After refs called back a Kansas City Chiefs potential game-winning touchdown with a penalty call that was clearly correct, Patrick Mahomes absolutely lost his mind.

He lost his mind on the sidelines.

He was still losing his mind when he met Josh Allen mid-field after the game.

Then, at the post-game press conference, Patrick Mahomes was still losing his mind.

“That’s a Hall of Fame tight end making a Hall of Fame play that won’t be shown because we threw a flag for an offensive offside,” Mahomes told the media after the game. “So it takes away from not only this game and this season but from a legendary career that Travis (Kelce) has had and that hurts me because I know how hard he works for it.”

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid called the penalty “a bit embarrassing” for the NFL.

Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes posted on social media that the ref was the Bills’ MVP.

In the refs’ defense, they said after the game that Kadarius Tony “was so offsides, he was blocking officials view of ball.”

And he was.

It was a great reminder of how entitled and whiny the Kansas City Chiefs are.

It was also a great reminder of how the GOAT Tom Brady reacted to a penalty call that (a) cost him a game, and (b) was actually wrong, back in 2019 when he was with the New England Patriots.

On that play, the referee inexplicably called Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry out of bounds on a pass from Brady that cost them a touchdown against, wait for it… the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs would go on to win that game 23-16.

Following the game, Tom Brady said the loss was “disappointing, but, you know, not going to feel sorry for ourselves.”

As for the call in particular that cost them a touchdown, Brady calmly addressed it by saying with a shrug it “doesn’t happen very often, so you know, it happened, so…”

Quite a difference in demeanor. One that didn’t go unnoticed on social media.

“THIS IS STILL CLEARLY A TOUCHDOWN! IF IT WEREN’T FOR THIS GAME, WE COULD’VE HAD A FIRST ROUND BYE!” another Patriots fan pointed out LOUDLY.

In retrospect, perhaps Patrick Mahomes will realize he should have taken the same approach his mom took after the game.
