There has been a lot of speculation about the possibility of Tom Brady choosing to unretire. While much of the chatter is exactly that, a new video posted on Brady’s instagram makes the most compelling case that the G.O.A.T. might not be done yet.

On Saturday evening, Brady was in attendance for Manchester United’s game against Tottenham in Manchester. The Red Devils are owned by the Glazer family, which also owns the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After the game, once all of the fans had cleared out, Brady went down onto the field and congratulated Cristiano Ronaldo on his hat trick. Of course, the photo opportunity was too great to pass up.

On Sunday afternoon, Brady posted a video from the postgame interaction in which Ronaldo gifts his son with what appears to be a jersey. However, while it was a very cool moment, that is not the important part.

In the video, Ronaldo asks Brady if he is done playing.

Although it is hard to decipher, Brady appears to answer back “that’s what I don’t know” after giving a very hesitant grimace. Take a look:

Brady, who is 44 years old, announced that he was retiring after the 2021 season. Should he choose to return, Tampa Bay does not plan to trade the winningest quarterback of all-time. It has also been clear that the door is always open if Brady does decide to come out of retirement.

Based on his exchange with Ronaldo, it seems very possible.
