On Wednesday, Tom Brady retired from the national football league. This time, unlike his retirement exactly 365 days ago, it appears likely to stick.
We will get to the statistics soon, but it’s hard to argue he’s not the greatest quarterback to ever live. No one has played at a high level for as long as Brady and accomplished as much.
And, just how much he meant to the game was underlined when the tributes poured in on Wednesday when he retired. Here are a few notable ones.
Tommy, since I already wrote you a long retirement message last year, this time I shall say, welcome to the 2x retired club.
You’re a legend and you always will be, my friend ♥️🏉 @TomBrady pic.twitter.com/88oWYvQtdo

And, people made a ton of graphics showing just how incredible his stats and accomplishments are.

Tom Brady retires never having taken a snap when his team was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
Including the postseason, that’s 15,906 snaps, each with the possibility and end goal of winning the Super Bowl.

But, this stat will truly change how you think about him. Despite playing for 23 years, some teams never once beat Thomas Edward Brady. And, not a single team had a winning record against him.
No team in the #NFL had a winning record against Tom Brady.
Three teams NEVER beat Brady. 😳 pic.twitter.com/HqQOszUqon
