The University Of North Carolina just hired Bill Belichick to revitalize their program, but that’s not keeping NFL teams from reaching out to him.
Last month, UNC signed Belichick to a massive five-year deal, and the longtime NFL coach seemed thrilled about the opportunity to coach college football.
“I grew up around college football with my dad and treasured those times,” Belichick said as part of a release announcing the move. “I have always wanted to coach in college and now I look forward to building the football program in Chapel Hill.
Despite the big contract, NFL teams, including Tom Brady and the Las Vegas Raiders, have reached out to Belichick.

“Multiple NFL teams have inquired about whether legendary coach Bill Belichick would reconsider his move to college football — including the Las Vegas Raiders, whose new minority owner Tom Brady spoke recently with his old coach about what it would take to make a reunion happen in Las Vegas, per sources.”
Belichick’s contract at North Carolina includes a $10 million buyout if he leaves before June 1, 2025 which shouldn’t be a big deal with NFL teams looking to sign him.
