Despite the injury Finau finished T10 with a 7-under at Augusta with the injured ankle. Finau spoke about playing through the injury at the Masters with ESPN.

“Mind over matter,” Finau said. “I felt like I did a pretty good job of masking the pressure because I had to worry about my foot. … I was able to stay in the moment.” onestly, I’m not really surprised,” Finau said. “I like the golf course and my foot started to feel better the more I played. And you know, my story’s quite crazy and I’m sure most of you guys knows it by now.
“I feel like my back’s been up against the wall my whole life, so something like this is just another part of the story, I guess. But to sit up here and say I’m surprised? Not really.”
On Monday, Finau showed off his ankle injury and it’s pretty damn nasty.

This is what @TonyFinauGolf is managing five days post-injury.
And for the record: instinctively firing that bone right back into position, finishing the Par 3, then playing lights out @TheMasters, is straight badass material. pic.twitter.com/6ech5mQJaJ— Marty Smith (@MartySmithESPN) April 9, 2018
Respect to Finau for playing as well as he did despite the injury. God knows I would have to be bed ridden for at least week if my ankle looked like that.
