Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter is truly a one-of-a-kind football player. The Heisman Trophy contender does it all for Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes.
Hunter had arguably the best game of his college career on Saturday, helping the Buffaloes to a 34-23 win over Colorado. Now, he’s been recognized in historic fashion.
The junior was absolutely magnificent on Saturday. On offense, Travis Hunter had 9 catches for 153 yards and two scores.

Somehow, Travis Hunter may have been even more impressive on defense, as he tallied a whopping 4 pass breakups. He was the best player on the field by far, and never lost a step despite playing well over 100 plays. This physical shape he must be in has to be staggering. And, as a corner and wide receiver, he’s running a lot every play. Simply remarkable.
For his efforts, he made history. Travis Hunter was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. It’s the first time in conference history that’s ever happened.
On the season, Hunter has 60 grabs for 757 yards and 8 touchdowns, and 20 tackles and 8 PBU’s on defense.
Travis Hunter should be one of the first few names called in the 2025 NFL Draft. The biggest question surrounding his NFL future is how will NFL teams want to use him? They could use him as just a wide receiver, just a cornerback, or a bit of both. It would be hard to see someone play full-time on both sides of the ball in the NFL, and it’s probably unlikely Travis Hunter will be used that way. But, if anyone can do it, it’s Travis Hunter.
Hunter’s strong play has the Buffaloes ranked 23rd in the country at 6-2.
