The subtle back and forth between Travis Kelce and Aaron Rodgers continues to unfold across various interviews, podcasts, and radio appearances, with the latest round being scored in favor of Kelce.

During a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end dropped a subtle yet cutting dig at Rodgers by pointing out that Tuesdays seem to be the most important day of Rodgers’ week.

This, of course, is not ideal when you’re an NFL player, as Sunday is supposed to be that day.

“Aaron’s always been cool to me. I knew he was trying to have some fun. He’s in a situation where Tuesdays are his game days…. So I get it, man, I’ve been injured too…. Who knows what the guy is going through?” Kelce said.

The back-and-forth between the pair began back in early October after Kelce’s Chiefs defeated Rodgers’ Jets, which resulted in Rodgers dubbing Kelce “Mr. Pfizer” in his subsequent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

Rodgers certainly does make the most of his weekly appearances on The Pat McAfee Show: this week, for example, Rodgers spoke on the program for a whopping 44 minutes.

According to Rodgers, however, Tuesdays may no longer be the highlight of his week as he’s apparently planning on returning to the practice field on December 2, which is his 40th birthday.

If all goes according to Rodgers’ “manifested” plan, he’ll participate in practice for about three weeks before making his return to an NFL field when the New York Jets take on the Washington Commanders on Christmas Eve.

One obstacle preventing Rodgers’ return, however, may be where the Jets find themselves in a month’s time, as two-straight losses have the team sitting at 4-6 and on the verge of implosion following the long-overdue benching of historic draft bust Zach Wilson.
