The Tennessee Titans finally hired their new general manager as Ran Carthon takes over. He stems from the San Francisco 49ers, which is a great team to emulate moving forward.
However, trade speculation came out of nowhere after Trey Lance shared a social media post that has the Titans fanbase buzzing.
Mike Herndon shares Lance’s latest story on Instagram. It’s a picture of Carthon along with the “cross your fingers” emojis. Trey Lance very well could just be hoping Ran Carthon the best at his new job (this is more than likely what it is). On the other hand, the emoji choice does sort of leave it open for interpretation.

A possible trade between the 49ers and Titans for Trey Lance seems like a long shot. Especially considering how much John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan gave up to acquire him in the first place. If anything, Lance is going to be given a chance to be the starting quarterback next season, despite Brock Purdy’s amazing run.
Regardless, that isn’t stopping Titans fans from speculating about a possible trade. There are definitely mixed reviews from the fanbase though, as Trey Lance’s track record isn’t all that great. Especially considering he barely has any playing time since his days in college.
I wouldn’t, no

We have a hard time believing the 49ers would agree to a trade offer like that.
I’d give two thirds.

This is more than likely what Trey Lance’s post was about.
probably just had a close relationship with him but who knows 🤷🏽♂️

These are a few reasons why San Francisco likely won’t trade Lance.
I don’t see why they’d trade Lance given what they paid, rookie contract, and small sample size for Brock

If anything, this post is going to be swept under the rug and everybody will forget about it in a week. It’s just hard to imagine Trey Lance actually wants out of San Francisco at this time.
