Netflix has released the first trailer for their upcoming documentary Untold: The Fall of Favre. The doc will tell the story of Brett Favre’s downfall from heroic gunslinging Green Bay Packers quarterback to what he’s since become in retirement: a welfare-scheming grifter.

Untold: The Fall of Favre will be released on Netflix on Tuesday, May 20. The first part of the trailer highlights Brett Favre’s early-career substance abuse issues and the infamous, explicit and unsolicited text messages he sent to Jenn Steger, who says Favre “ruined her life.” The documentary even has audio of Favre’s voice mails to Sterger.

The latter half of the trailer focuses on Favre embezzling money from the poorest people in Mississippi, as well, which has marred his legacy even worse than it already was.

“Super Bowl champion. Three-time NFL MVP. Hall of Famer. But that’s not the whole story. This tell-all documentary unravels quarterback Brett Favre’s legacy and pattern of unchecked behavior, including an explicit text message scandal and his involvement in a massive welfare fraud scheme that shocked the nation.”

During his NFL days, Favre played with the Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, and Minnesota Vikings.

Drafted out of Southern Miss University with the 33rd overall pick in the 1991 NFL Draft, Favre played 20 seasons for those four teams and threw for 71,838 yards, 508 touchdowns, and 336 interceptions, the most in NFL history. Favre was selected to 11 Pro Bowls, won three MVP awards, and won one Super Bowl title in 1997.
