The Vegas Golden Knights To Honor Shooting Victims In A Very Cool Way At Their First Ever Home Game

On Monday, October 10th, the brand new Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL will take the ice for their first ever home game under the cloud of the recent mass shooting that took place 10 days ago in their city.

And as we have seen previously from people in sports with ties to Las Vegas such as Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals, the Golden Knights will also be paying their respects to those who were senselessly gunned down while doing nothing more than enjoying a gathering of like-minded individuals celebrating something they enjoy.

So on Monday night, when the team takes the ice for the first time officially at home, all of the advertisements along the boards will be removed and replaced with messages such as “#VegasStrong.”

While this won’t be the only way that the Las Vegas Golden Knight organization will honor those the city lost, it is still a wonderful and powerful statement.

Without any shadow of a doubt, the Knights’ first home game will be a very special one as the city tries to heal from the tragic events of October 1st.
