The San Antonio Spurs have won the NBA Draft Lottery at the right time all three times. The first two times resulted in all-time great centers David Robinson and Tim Duncan. And, this time, it may have landed them another future legend Victor Wembanyama.
If you haven’t heard by now, Victor Wembanyama is the next big thing in the NBA. The 7’4 Frenchman can do it all on a basketball court. Take a look.

Such a lock was the phenom to go number one that people were even betting on him at odds of -200000 to go number one.
Many thought that when the Spurs won the lottery, it was the perfect fit for Victor Wembanyama. After all, the Spurs have a great track record of developing big men, and maybe the best coach of all-time in Gregg Popovich. Plus, Tim Duncan is always around the team and is a great influence for the 19-year-old. Judging by a recent dinner with Duncan and other legends, it seems like the two are hitting it off.
Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Sean Elliott and Manu Ginobili had dinner with Victor Wembanyama last night after his arrival in San Antonio.
Welcome, kid.

Here is what he had to say about the dinner.
"Such kind people, and generous."

One thing that has stuck out about this kid since he started the draft process is his incredible maturity, and that’s on display here.
Victor Wembanyama will presumably make his Spurs debut in the California Classic July 3rd against 2nd-overall pick Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets.
