The South Carolina Gamecocks took down SEC rival Ole Miss on Tuesday in a thrilling overtime matchup. The game went down to the wire, with Frank Martin’s group pulling off the improbable 77-74 win.
With just two seconds left on the clock in a tie game, South Carolina guard James Reese heaved a half court prayer that banked off the glass and through the net as time expired. The shot gave the Gamecocks a huge conference win as they hope to improve their postseason chances in the season’s final month.
The game was back and forth throughout. Ole Miss held a one-point lead at halftime. South Carolina used an 11-3 run to overcome a late deficit and gain a lead in the final minute. Rebel gaurd Jarkel Joiner then tied the game at 68 apiece by hitting a layup with 1.7 seconds remaining.

The exciting finish had South Carolina fans jumping for joy while the Rebels were in disbelief. The wild ending seemed to catch the game’s announcers off guard, too.
Joe Kleine and Kevin Fitzgerald were on the call, and when the final bucket went down, Kleine had trouble forming words. He just emphatically shouted, “Oh, Oh” over and over again.
The bizarre reaction had viewers wondering if the play-by-play man was okay. Check out the hilarious responses below.
