Before the National Championship game on Monday, ESPN blowhard Stephen A Smith went on a rant on how he didn’t want to see either Virginia or Texas Tech in the Finals because of their defensive style.
I didn’t want to see Virginia, I didn’t want see Texas Tech for the same reason. I think that these two teams are elite defensively and know how to shut teams down.
I would have loved to seen Duke and North Carolina in the finals. I do think college basketball loses something With Zion not being there.
Virginia’s game with Texas Tech ended up being pretty exciting despite the constant moaning from Stephen A. on Twitter.
It’s 53-43 @UVAMensHoops with over 9 minutes left and I still feel this game is damn-near over. VA won’t miss for the first time this tournament and @TexasTechMBB can’t seem to get anything going! Hey, at least one of them scored over 50 pts.

Yeeeaaahhhh! Didn’t see this coming. But now we have ourselves a game. Great pass from Culver gets converted into an And-1. @TexasTechMBB pulls within 59-58 of @UVAMensHoops with 3:28 left. Yes!!!!!

Virginia eventually won the game in overtime and Ty Jerome decided to take a shot at Stephen A.

Fans took pleasure in Jerome dunking all over Stephen A.
Based on his regular clueless comments, I am not sure Stephen A. Smith even watches anything. You would think he would do his homework. ESPN apparently thinks his comments are of value.
