There are few names around the NFL that are causing as much speculation as Tom Brady and Sean Payton right now.

Brady’s contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ends after this season.

Sean Payton has been out of football for a year since leaving the New Orleans Saints to start a career in broadcasting.

Some fans are expecting to see Brady leave the Buccaneers after this season to move to a team that looks more like a contender. Many fans are expecting to see Payton return to the NFL as a head coach next season.

The possibility of both of them looking for a new team during the offseason has led to plenty of speculation about Brady and Payton potentially teaming up somewhere next season.

This morning, Peter Schrager asked Payton about that possibility on “The Season with Peter Schrager”. Unfortunately for any football fans hoping to see the Brady-Payton team-up, Payton didn’t indicate he’d be working with Brady in the NFL. Instead, he sees himself finally teaming up with Brady at Fox some day.

There could be a bit of a wait before we ever actually see these two together on a FOX broadcast.

Despite Brady and the Bucs having a disappointing season, there hasn’t been any indication yet about whether or not he will retire after the season ends.

If Payton returns to football, it seems unlikely he’d be doing it just for a couple of years.

It seems that despite all of the rumors that are already swirling, football fans will be waiting a while to see Sean Payton and Tom Brady working together. Maybe we’ll at least get to see them square off in the NFL next season.
