The world of professional wrestling has been hit with unfortunate news as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sonya Deville sustains a severe knee injury that has forced her out of action indefinitely.
The injury was confirmed by TMZ Sports, and it’s reported that Deville has torn her ACL, a critical ligament in the knee, during a high-stakes tag team championship match against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair on the night of July 28 in New Orleans during the SmackDown event.
Deville’s absence casts a shadow over her partnership with fellow superstar Chelsea Green, as the duo had achieved a monumental feat just over a week prior.
On July 17, they emerged victorious in a thrilling battle against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on RAW, capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

The torn ACL is a serious injury that demands surgical intervention. Deville is scheduled to undergo the necessary procedure to rectify the issue on Tuesday, a significant step towards her rehabilitation journey.
The timeline for Sonya Deville’s return to the wrestling ring remains uncertain, leaving fans anxious and hopeful for her eventual comeback.
