NY Jets QB Zach Wilson made the best play of his young career, but some fans are crying foul.
During Sunday’s Jets-Jaguars game, Wilson ran towards the sideline and faked like he was going out of bounds before scoring an amazing 52-yard touchdown.

It’s clear that the Jags defender eased up and didn’t hit Wilson because he thought he was going out of bounds.

Some NFL fans believe the Jags players didn’t want to hit Wilson near the sidelines because they would have been penalized him for it.

@NFL @NFLOfficiating I’m sorry, but that’s what’s wrong with the QB slide rule. Zach Wilson appears to be heading out of bounds…defender eases up and then Wilson veers BACK in bounds for the score. You shouldn’t have that advantage as a QB.

That Zach Wilson TD is the exact result of the @NFL screwing over defensive players. Player lets up as Wilson fakes going out of bounds because he knows he will get flagged for the hit. What is he supposed to do there?

The NFL needs to do something about QBs running along the sidelines. TWO DIFFERENT players on the defense let up on Zach Wilson as he was headed out of bounds in fear of a penalty, and Wilson ended up cutting back inside both times for a TD

I think it’s lowkey unfair when QBs fake the out of bounds run. Cause as a defensive player if you push them when they’re already going out, you’re flagged, and if you don’t, they can take it to the house like Zach Wilson just did
