Look, Bros, I’ll be straight up with you: I’m a year-round boat shoe person these days. Moving to California’s wonderful temperate climates has shattered the very idea of a certain kind of shoe being “seasonal.” Great shoes for men are merely situational: Boat shoes or a great pair of sandals when you’re heading down to the beach, chukkas and sneaks for business casual vibes when you really need them.
What you wear on your feet is a reflection of how comfortable you are in your skin. Even in the warm weather months. And the biggest part of that equation is comfort – You need shoes that are versatile for all sorts of social situations yet also reflect a particular confidence for owning the shit out of those particular situations.
